The American Eagle 36" AAEP-36 is a 36-inch built-in gas grill with three 304 stainless steel U-burners and 818 sq in of total grilling area (including the warming rack). It is built from commercial-grade 304 stainless steel, made in the USA by Superior Equipment Solutions (SES Brands) in City of Industry, California, and offered for liquid propane (LP) or natural gas (NG).

American Eagle is the entry point to Artisan: no lights and no wiring needed, with a 9V battery electronic ignition, ceramic briquettes and a spring-assisted hood. It drops into a 34-1/2" W x 19-3/4" D outdoor kitchen cutout, and the same grill is also available on a cart as the AAEP-36C. It also fits the Haven 96" Outdoor Kitchen Base (HOD96KB-ART36) for a ready-made island.

Installation, Cutout & Fuel Planning

Order the AAEP-36 as LP or NG to match your gas supply. Artisan requires installation by a qualified professional; the island must be built from non-combustible materials unless you use the matching insulated jacket.

• Grill cutout – 34-1/2" W x 19-3/4" D x 9-1/2" H, with a 7/8" bullnose notch each side and a 5-3/4" recommended rear setback
• Combustible enclosures – install with the Artisan insulated jacket ART-IJ36 (jacket cutout 37-1/4" W x 23-5/8" D x 10-1/4" H)
• Clearances – minimum 12" from the sides and 12" from the back to combustible construction
• Gas – NG: 1/2" NPT at 5" W.C.; LP: 3/8" ODF at 10" W.C. (portable tank) or 1/2" NPT at 10" W.C. (whole-house LP)
• Power – No power is needed for the grill itself (9V battery ignition); Artisan recommends a countertop outlet if you add the optional rotisserie (115 VAC, 0.38 A).
