The Unity is The Outdoor Plus's raised, round metal fire pit — a tall centerpiece built for gathering. Its elevated height (18" or 24") brings the flame closer to seated eye level and naturally draws people around it, making the Unity as much a social anchor as a heat source. Handmade in the USA from metal — powder-coated steel, Corten weathering steel, stainless steel, or hammered copper — it delivers dramatic, high-output flames and a bold sculptural presence.

Unity fire pits come in 48", 60", and 72" diameters with heat output reaching up to roughly 175,000–190,000 BTU through a 304 stainless steel burner. Many configurations store a standard propane tank in the base, and the Smart Weather electronic ignition auto-relights in wind and weather.

Why is the Unity taller than other fire pits?

The Unity is designed as a raised centerpiece. Its 18" or 24" height lifts the flame nearer to seated eye level, which makes it easier to gather around and gives it a stronger sculptural presence than a low bowl. It's built with socializing in mind.

What metals does the Unity come in, and what is Corten steel?

The Unity is offered in powder-coated steel, Corten (weathering) steel, stainless steel, and hammered copper. Corten steel forms a stable rust-toned patina that protects the metal and gives a warm, rustic look — best in drier climates, since constant salt air or heavy moisture can interfere with the patina. Copper also develops a living patina over time.

How much heat does the Unity put out?

A lot. Depending on size and configuration, the Unity produces up to roughly 175,000–190,000 BTU through a 304 stainless steel burner — among the highest output in the range — so it warms larger gathering areas effectively.

Can I hide the propane tank?

Yes. Many Unity configurations include an access door in the base sized to store a standard 20 lb propane tank out of sight, keeping the look clean. Natural gas versions connect to a gas line instead.

What sizes are available?
