What Is an Outdoor Pizza Oven?

An outdoor pizza oven is a high-heat oven made for exterior use that bakes on a hot hearth with heat from above, so crusts crisp while toppings cook. The Artisan 30" countertop gas oven, for example, reaches up to 800°F and preheats in 15 minutes.

This collection includes pizza ovens from Artisan and Videl, plus carts that turn each oven into a mobile station.

Artisan 30" Countertop Gas Pizza Oven

The Artisan ARTP-PZA has 447 sq in of cooking area and a 3/4" thick ceramic slab hearth and ceiling. A 304 stainless U-burner heats the hearth and a rear burner adds top-down heat and speeds preheat.

It is offered for LP or NG and adds a halogen oven light and hot-surface ignition. Beyond Neapolitan-style pizza, it roasts, bakes and sears in an iron skillet.

Videl Outdoor Oven I & Oven Cart

The Videl Outdoor Oven I is built for pizzas, fresh breads, gratins and roasted meats with even, consistent heat.

Set it on the Videl Outdoor Oven Cart (cart only) for a stable, mobile base you can roll to where guests gather.

Countertop, Cart or Island?

• Countertop. The ARTP-PZA sits on an outdoor kitchen counter with rear exhaust. Leave 1" of clearance all around and underneath for air intake.
• Cart. The Artisan 30" pizza oven cart measures 30" W x 30" D x 36-1/4" H, rolls on 4" casters with brakes and holds a 20 lb LP tank on the lower shelf.
• Power. The ARTP-PZA needs a 115V outlet (7.0 A); a GFCI outlet is recommended. Gas and power connect at the back and can be routed from below.
• Utilities access. Artisan recommends its 30" double access door under the oven in an island. See outdoor kitchen storage.
