The Artisan Series 42" ART-42 is a 42-inch built-in gas grill with three 304 stainless steel U-burners rated up to 75,000 BTU and 966 sq in of total grilling area (including the warming rack). It is built from commercial-grade 304 stainless steel, made in the USA by Superior Equipment Solutions (SES Brands) in City of Industry, California, and offered for liquid propane (LP) or natural gas (NG).

The Artisan Series adds 115V electronic ignition with stainless push-buttons and bright halogen work lights for evening cooking. It drops into a 40-1/2" W x 19-3/4" D outdoor kitchen cutout, and the same grill is also available on a cart as the ART-42C.

Installation, Cutout & Fuel Planning

Order the ART-42 as LP or NG to match your gas supply. Artisan requires installation by a qualified professional; the island must be built from non-combustible materials unless you use the matching insulated jacket.

• Grill cutout – 40-1/2" W x 19-3/4" D x 9-1/2" H, with a 7/8" bullnose notch each side and a 5-3/4" recommended rear setback
• Combustible enclosures – install with the Artisan insulated jacket ART-IJ42 (jacket cutout 43-1/4" W x 23-5/8" D x 10-1/4" H)
• Clearances – minimum 12" from the sides and 12" from the back to combustible construction
• Gas – NG: 1/2" NPT at 5" W.C.; LP: 3/8" ODF at 10" W.C. (portable tank) or 1/2" NPT at 10" W.C. (whole-house LP)
• Power – Needs a 115 VAC, 1-phase, 60 Hz outlet for the electronic ignition and halogen lights.
