Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Wilshire Armchair FAQ

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Wilshire Teak Armchair CHD-114: Dining Fit, Comfort & Care

Is the Anderson Teak Wilshire armchair comfortable for long dinners?

Yes, the Anderson Teak Wilshire Armchair (CHD-114) has a high 39.5" back designed to add lumbar support, plus arms to rest on, which suits lingering meals. It measures 23" wide by 23.5" deep and seats one person with an estimated weight capacity of 300 lb. The seat is solid teak, and no cushion is included, so add a seat pad if you prefer a softer sit.

Will the Wilshire teak armchair fit at the head of my dining table?

The Wilshire Armchair is 23" wide and 23.5" deep, so it works well at table ends or around tables with about 26" or more of edge per seat. Its arms may prevent it from sliding fully under tables with a low apron, so measure from the floor to the underside of the apron first. For narrower sides, the armless Wilshire Chair (CHD-113) is 19" wide.

How do I keep the Wilshire teak armchair from turning gray?

Left outside, the Wilshire Armchair's honey golden brown teak will weather to silver-gray over months; to keep the warm color, clean with mild soap and a soft brush and apply teak oil or a sealer periodically. The gray patina is cosmetic and does not affect strength. Avoid high-pressure washing, and cover or store the chair in winter to reduce maintenance. Small end-grain checks are normal in teak.
