Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Inside & assembly Available on request

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Smyrna Teak & Batyline Dining Armchair DS-856: Before You Buy

Is the Anderson Teak Smyrna dining armchair comfortable without a cushion?

The Smyrna Dining Armchair (DS-856) is designed to be used without a cushion: its seat and back use Batyline, a woven outdoor sling material, set in a solid A-Grade teak frame. No cushion is included. The chair measures 26" wide, 23" deep and 32" high, with a 16" seat height and arms from 22" to 25" high.

Will the Smyrna armchair fit under my dining table?

Check your table's apron height first. The Smyrna Dining Armchair's arms rise 22" to 25" high, so it slides fully under tables with enough clearance beneath the top, such as the matching Smyrna 92.5" Dining Table (DS-857, 30" high). At 26" wide, allow about 28" to 30" of table edge per chair. It weighs 42 lb, sturdy without being hard to move.

Does the Smyrna dining armchair arrive assembled?

Yes, the Smyrna Dining Armchair arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to put together. It ships by LTL freight. The teak has a smooth, well-sanded natural finish in honey golden brown and is listed as outdoor weather resistant; left untreated it weathers to silver-gray. Clean the Batyline with mild soap and water and the teak with a soft brush.
