Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Inside & assembly Available on request

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Smyrna 102" Teak 4-Seat Sofa DS-853: Size, Cushions & Care

How many people fit on the Anderson Teak Smyrna 4-seat sofa?

The Smyrna 4-Seat Sofa (DS-853) is named and sold as a four-seater, with a generous 102" width and 33" depth. Note that its spec sheet lists a seating capacity of three, so plan on three adults with plenty of room or four sitting closer together. The seat is a low 15" high with the cushion in place, and the sofa stands 24" high overall.

Will the Smyrna teak sofa hold up outdoors?

Yes, the Smyrna Sofa is made from solid A-Grade teak and listed as outdoor weather resistant, and it can also be used indoors. Left outside, the honey golden brown finish will weather to a silver-gray patina over months, which does not affect strength. Clean with mild soap and a soft brush, oil it if you prefer the warm tone, and store or cover the cushions in wet or winter weather.

Does the Smyrna DS-853 sofa come with cushions and assembly?

Cushions are included with the Smyrna DS-853, with Sunbrella fabric options available; custom cushion colors are made to order in about three weeks. Assembly is required. The sofa weighs 170 lb and ships LTL freight to your curb or driveway by appointment, so have two people ready to carry it. Inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after ordering.
