Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Inside & assembly Available on request

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Sira 47" Writing Desk with Two Drawers: What to Know Before You Buy

Is the Anderson Teak Sira 47 inch writing desk solid teak?

No, the Sira 47" Writing Desk (WDS-047) is not solid teak. It is built from manufactured wood with a PVC laminate surface, which is designed to resist water, scratches, dents and everyday wear. That makes it an indoor home-office or bedroom piece rather than outdoor furniture. It measures 47" wide, 23.4" deep and 29.5" high, and weighs 83 lb.

How much weight can the Sira writing desk hold?

The Sira Writing Desk supports up to 132 lb overall, with a 110 lb limit on the tabletop. That is plenty for a laptop, monitor, lamp and paperwork. Its two drawers run on metal runners and hold files, documents and office supplies. A slight bend at the back leaves space to route wires and cables when the desk sits against a wall, and it can double as a vanity table (no mirror included).

Does the Sira 47 in desk require assembly?

Yes, the Sira 47" Writing Desk requires assembly. It ships by small parcel rather than freight, but at 83 lb the carton is heavy, so plan for two people to carry it inside. Check the box and parts for damage before assembling, photograph any issues and keep the packaging. Note that the listed manufacturer coverage for this desk is 30 days, shorter than on Anderson Teak's teak furniture.
