Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Yes. Review the included instructions before assembly or use.

Are cushions included?

Yes. The product title and order confirmation govern what is included.

Inside & assembly Available on request

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Oxford Platform 1-Seater Deep Seating Chair: Know Before You Buy

How low does the Anderson Teak Oxford Platform 1-Seater chair sit?

The Oxford Platform 1-Seater (DS-821) is a low, lounge-style chair: its seat height is 11" without the cushion and 17" with the included cushion. Overall it measures 31.5" wide, 33" deep and 30" high. The 33" depth gives a relaxed, deep-seating posture, so it pairs naturally with the 13"-high Oxford Platform coffee and corner tables rather than taller dining-height tables.

Will the Oxford Platform chair's aluminum frame rust, and what about the teak seat?

Aluminum does not rust like steel, and the Oxford Platform 1-Seater's 2 mm thick aluminum frame is finished in a dark grey, 170-grit semi-gloss powder coating. The seat is solid teak, which will weather from its natural tone toward silver-gray if left outdoors untreated; teak oil or sealer maintains the warmer color. Clean the frame and teak with mild soap and water, and avoid abrasive pads that could scratch the powder coat.

Does the Oxford Platform 1-Seater come with a cushion and need assembly?

Yes, a cushion is included with the Oxford Platform 1-Seater, and it requires only light assembly. The chair ships flat in a carton and weighs about 50 lb, and it is sent by LTL freight with curbside delivery by appointment. It can be used on its own or combined with the Oxford Platform 2-Seater, corner table and square coffee table for a matching arrangement.
