Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Inside & assembly Available on request

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Madison 59" Backless Teak Bench: Size & Seating Questions

Will the Anderson Teak Madison 59" backless bench seat three at a dining table?

Yes, the Madison BH-7059B seats up to three people and has an estimated weight capacity of 600 lb. At 59" wide, 18" deep and 17" high, it suits the long side of a rectangular dining table. Its centered seat curve is designed for sitting facing either direction, so it works on either side of a table or in the middle of a room.

Is the Madison 59" bench sealed, and how do I care for it?

Yes, the Madison BH-7059B is treated with a water-based sealer and finished in honey golden brown. For care, clean with mild soap and a soft brush and avoid high-pressure washing. Outdoors, teak gradually weathers toward silver-gray as it is exposed to sun and rain; reapplying a sealer or teak oil helps keep the warmer tone. The patina is cosmetic and does not weaken the wood.

Does the Madison 59" bench need assembly, and how heavy is it?

The Madison BH-7059B weighs about 55 lb and requires assembly. It ships by small parcel ground delivery to your door, so no freight appointment is needed. A cushion is not included. The bench is backed by Anderson Teak's 2-year limited residential warranty against manufacturing defects.
