Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Inside & assembly Available on request

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Captain's Teak Armchair: Size, Assembly & Capacity

Does the Anderson Teak Captain's armchair need assembly?

No, the Captain's armchair arrives with no assembly required, ready to use. It measures 33" high by 24" wide by 24" deep and weighs 25 lb. The curved back and captain-style arms give it a classic look for dining, patio or terrace settings, and it pairs with most teak dining tables.

How much weight does the Captain's teak armchair hold?

The Captain's armchair has an estimated weight capacity of 300 lb. At 24" wide, it needs a bit more table edge than an armless side chair, so count seats along your table before ordering several. The seat is solid teak with a smooth, well-sanded finish, so there is no fabric or webbing to wear out.

Is a cushion included with the Captain's armchair?

No, a cushion is not included with the Captain's armchair. Choose one separately if you want a softer seat, matching the listed dimensions. The teak can stay outdoors and will weather to silver-gray unless oiled or sealed. It carries Anderson Teak's 2-year limited residential warranty.
