Teak Care & Natural Weathering

Teak naturally develops a silver-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This color change is part of the wood’s normal aging process and does not by itself indicate a structural defect. Clean with mild soap and water and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the appearance you prefer.

Alliance Geometric Bookcase FAQ

Is assembly required?

Yes. Review the included instructions before assembly or use.

Are cushions included?

Cushion inclusion is not specified for this model. The product title and order confirmation govern what is included.

How should I compare this model?

Compared with a narrower or shorter bookcase, this 55-inch-wide Alliance model provides 12 storage areas and two doors; its 14.3-inch depth may suit spaces where a deeper unit would extend farther into the room.

Inside & assembly Available on request

What curbside delivery means: For freight items, the carrier brings the shipment to the curb, driveway, or nearest safe, accessible point — freight drivers do not enter the home. Moving pieces indoors, unpacking, and assembly aren’t part of standard delivery, but inside delivery and assembly can be arranged after you order.

Freight-truck access is required: The LTL carrier must be able to safely reach the delivery location to complete curbside delivery. Narrow roads, restricted entrances, gates, steep approaches, remote routes, or similar conditions can prevent normal freight delivery.

Inspect your delivery: Inspect the cartons, pallet, and visible condition before signing the delivery receipt. Record visible damage on the delivery paperwork, take clear photographs, retain all packaging, and notify Chic Home Deco immediately.

Free shipping covers standard ground or LTL curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous United States and is a limited-time offer. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, and assembly are available as optional services — just ask us after ordering. Additional arrangements may be required when the carrier cannot safely access the delivery location.

Alliance Geometric Bookcase: Storage, Shelf Weight & Assembly

Is the Anderson Teak Alliance Geometric Bookcase solid teak, and can it go outdoors?

No, the Alliance Geometric Bookcase (BCA-055) is made of manufactured wood, not teak, and it is designed for indoor rooms such as living rooms, studies, home offices, hallways and bedrooms. Keep it out of the rain and away from patios or pool areas. Its 55" width and 62.5" height give it the presence of a statement piece, while the 14.3" depth keeps it from projecting far into the room.

How much weight can each shelf of the Alliance Geometric Bookcase hold?

Each of the 12 storage areas on the Alliance Geometric Bookcase supports up to 15 lb, with a total weight capacity of 180 lb. That is plenty for books, framed photos and decorative objects, but spread heavy items like large art books across several cubbies rather than stacking them in one. Two swing doors give you enclosed storage for things you would rather hide.

Is the Alliance bookcase hard to assemble, and does it need to be anchored?

Assembly is required, and at 156 lb the Alliance bookcase is a two-person job, so plan time and a helper. Use the included wall-mount hardware to anchor it; it is there to help prevent tipping, which matters for a tall 62.5" unit, especially in homes with children. Note that the listed manufacturer coverage for this manufactured-wood piece is 30 days, shorter than Anderson Teak's teak furniture.
