- Foundation: a stable, level base that supports the unit's weight, such as level ground, gravel or a concrete pad.
- Electrical: 60–70 A service as standard for sauna models, up to 80 A with a mini-split. Licensed electrician required.
- Water & drainage: for showers and plunges; every site must drain properly.
- Access: a clear route for a truck and trailer, and room for a crane where needed.
- Clearances: space around doors, windows and vents, plus maintenance access.
- Permits & HOA: check zoning, setbacks and HOA rules. Plans go to your building department; we coordinate the submittal. A licensed GC contract or owner-builder affidavit is required.

Can't reach your backyard? Full refund.If the transportation review finds delivery to your property isn't feasible, or Sweaty Yeti declines the order, your deposit is refunded in full. Nothing beyond the deposit is charged until you approve your final price.

For a finished, factory-built outdoor sauna like Sweaty Yeti, listed prices run from $29,700 for a 4–6 person 8′ × 9′ sauna to $55,200 for a sauna with a barrel cold plunge room. Upgrades, delivery and set, and local site work come on top.
What adds to the cost beyond the listed price?
Upgrades you choose, delivery and set (plus a crane if your site needs one), and local site work: the foundation, the electrical run, and water and drainage for showers or plunges.
How much electrical service does an outdoor sauna need?
Sweaty Yeti sauna models need 60 A or 70 A service as standard and up to 80 A with a mini-split. A licensed electrician should size and install the circuit.
Do I need a permit for a backyard sauna?
