Handcrafted GFRC concrete, inspired by the California coast. Four sizes from 48" to 84" — the rectangular centerpiece your outdoor space gathers around.
The Del Mar — coastal-inspired GFRC concrete, shown in an outdoor setting
Saturday, just after sunset. The concrete still holds a little warmth from the afternoon. You turn the valve, the flame settles into its long rectangular line, and the whole terrace changes character — from a space you look at to a space you live in.
Chairs get pulled closer without anyone saying anything. Someone refills the glasses. The conversation finds that slower rhythm it only finds outside, next to fire.
The long flame line becomes the natural center of the evening
Then it happens — a guest runs a hand along the smooth concrete edge and says, "okay, this is seriously beautiful. Where is this from?" You knew it the day it arrived. Now everyone else does too.
The Del Mar is not an accessory you add to a patio. It is the piece that makes the patio feel designed — the low, architectural anchor everything else arranges itself around.
GFRC — glass-fiber reinforced concrete — is what separates architectural fire features from patio-store products. It has the honest, mineral look of cast concrete, at a fraction of the weight, with far greater resistance to cracking and weather. Each Del Mar is individually handmade in Southern California by The Outdoor Plus.

Limestone — one of ten standard GFRC finishes
Propane or natural gas — which should I choose?
Propane connects to a standard 20 lb tank (the same one your grill uses) with the included regulator and hose — no professional needed, full flexibility in placement. Natural gas connects to your home's line for a flame that never needs a tank swap, but requires a licensed contractor for the connection. If you don't have a gas line near the intended spot, factor that cost in.
Which ignition system is right for me?
Match Lit is the most affordable and needs no power. Flame Sense options add automatic gas shutoff if wind kills the flame. Plug & Play gives you electronic push-button convenience from a standard 120V outdoor outlet — no electrician. Low Voltage Electronic is the built-in, smart-home grade option and requires hardwiring. If you're unsure, ask us — it's the most common question we get.

Is concrete really durable outdoors year-round?
GFRC is not garden-store concrete. The glass-fiber reinforcement gives it much higher resistance to cracking, chipping, and freeze-thaw stress — it's the same class of material used for building facades. Subtle color and texture variation is part of its handmade character, not a defect. A breathable cover is all it needs to preserve the finish.
Why does it take 3–4 weeks to ship?
Every Del Mar is individually handmade to order in Southern California — your size, your finish, your ignition, your gas type. It's not sitting in a warehouse. The lead time is what made-to-order means, and we keep you updated until tracking is in your inbox.
What about delivery and damage?
Delivery is via LTL freight carrier, curbside — the exact rate is calculated at checkout. Inspect the shipment before signing; if there's visible damage, note it or refuse delivery, photograph everything, and report it within 24–48 hours. Manufacturing defects reported in that window are repaired or replaced.
A premium outdoor living retailer focused on fire features, outdoor kitchens, and heating for US homes. We're an authorized retailer of The Outdoor Plus — because their products belong in well-designed outdoor spaces.
Most people who end up with a handcrafted fire feature say the same thing: they circled it for a season or two first. They considered the cheaper option. Some even bought it — and watched it rust, wobble, or simply never look right next to a home they'd put real care into.
The Del Mar is the decision that ends that cycle. Individually made, architecturally honest, built from a material engineered to stay outside for years without asking anything of you.
Your patio already has the furniture, the layout, the potential. This is the piece that makes it feel finished.
